Collecting Golf Advertising

Why Collect Golf Advertising?

Advertising collectibles in general (non-golf) include many options often with large followings (and sometimes large profits). They include metal signage, posters, calendars, paperweights, pens, etc. all created to promote a product or business and its brand (such as the popular field of “Transportation Advertising” related to oil, tire or automobile companies and their products).  Countless items gifted or sold to a consumer with decorative packaging can serve as lasting advertisements long after the product inside was used, or while the clock on the wall that says Coca Cola keeps ticking.

Amongst the most sought-after Golf related Advertising items are those on the countertops in golf pro shops to promote the sale of golf balls of competing companies, but there are surely many others that can spark the interest of collectors who already collect anything from posters to thimbles to shoehorns, but with golf as the associated theme.  Happy collecting!
