The caddie’s coat hanger

This item from Region 8 GHS member Jack Wilson is a coat hanger that was carried in the bag by caddies.  Jack bought this from a former pro at Portland Golf Club (est. 1914).  The story goes that a number of these hangers would be hanging in the caddie shack at PGC, and if they saw a member coming with his coat on, the assigned caddie would grab one of these before heading out.  It actually makes sense:  if it got too warm during the course of the round, and the member wanted to take it off, what else would you do with the coat?
