Foxburg CC profiled on Morning Read

If you haven’t played at Foxburg in the annual gutty golf / hickory golf championship, you have a new bucket list item. The old course, a nine-holer, is one of the oldest in the U.S. and still features the old granite sand/water holders by each tee. Annually, SoHG member Tom Johnson hosts the Foxburg Hickory Championship and it is a gem. Plus, the golf museum is one of the little-known treasures of early golf memorabilia.

For now, click here to view Gary Van Sickle’s review of his visit to Foxburg. Highly recommended for both gutty golfers and hickory golfers in general. Plus, search for Foxburg on this website and you will see other stories on Foxburg.

First Tee players are among the annual players at the Foxburg Hickory Championship.
