Andrew von Lossow knows how this is done. He’s just accomplished the feat, and during a USGA qualifier, too. Andrew, who has been around golf his whole life – his dad, Jim, is a former golf pro who still maintains a shop refurbishing hickory golf clubs – was, like everyone else, at a loss for words, but, yes, the hole-in-one happened on the same hole and two days in a row, Oct. 6 and7, 2020. Click here to read an account of the most rare feat, written by journalist Julie Williams for GolfWeek. The accompanying photo was leant to GolfWeek by one of Von Lossow’s friends. And if this wasn’t enough, Von Lossow also made a very rare albatross – that’s three under on one hole, folks – and with a hickory shafted jigger, during the Spokane Hickory Open in September 2019.
