The Heart of America is the oldest continuously held hickory tournament in the world. This year’s event marks the 48th installment of the tournament. Originated in 1978 by GCS president and Iowa resident Warren “Ole” Olsen, the players in this long-standing tournament are a literal “who’s who” in the playing of modern hickory golf and traditions. If this event is on your “bucket list,” make sure this is the year you attend.
