Golf Silver & Gold Collecting

Uncover the Joy of Collecting

Why Collect Golf Silver, Gold & Other Metalwares?

Items of precious metals from the Victorian era, and especially through the turn of the last century, as well as into the 1930’s have been very popular display items, many of which unveil the customs and embellishments of olden times.

While medals and trophies are a significant subset, you’ll find them in a separate menu. Many of the items below were also awards for golf competitions.  This list has innumerable options, including household items such as serving trays, coffee & tea servers, cocktail items, salt & pepper shakers, toast racks, knife rests and inkwells.  Personal items include Jewelry (brooches, hat pins, cufflinks, tie clips, belt buckles), coin purses, watches and watch fobs. cigarette cases and match safes (vesta cases), compacts, whiskey flasks and nested brandy snifters.  Collecting silver and gold spoons and sterling score keepers are amongst the favorites.

Makers include Tiffany, Gorham, Unger Brothers, and many more.
